Fastex Gun Care Products

A complete range of advanced lubricants and cleaners for firearm maintenance, storage and re-loading.  Fastex Gun Care Lubricants reduce friction and improve anti-wear on treated metal surfaces. Fastex Gun Care Lubricants contain no harmful solids such as Moly, Graphite or PTFE. Included in most lubrication formulations is the proprietary Fastex Surface Modifier technology.

Fastex Surface Modifiers are attracted to metal surfaces through heat, either by friction or an external source, where they create a durable bonded surface. Fastex Surface Modifiers will not bond to themselves or change any tolerances through build up. The Fastex range of products has been specifically formulated for the demanding gun market to assist shooters with improved range and greater accuracy. Included in these formulations are rust and corrosion inhibitors, to protect against surface damage from moisture and humidity. For operations under rugged and demanding conditions the friction reduction features of the Fastex Surface Modifier help reduce overheating and jamming while providing moisture protection.

Fastex Gun Oil

Key Features: Contains Fastex Surface Modifier. Gives active lubrication on all mechanisms. Improved maintenance - cleaning is much easier and faster! Protects against corrosion in damp or humid conditions, and especially in storage. Reduced friction provides a smoother operation and faster action to all moving parts. Performs as a 'dry lubricant'. Remains in place after wipe-down and clean. Fastex Gun Oil is an advanced lubricant developed especially for all types of firearms and is formulated to meet manufacturer's general lubrication requirements. This leading edge product offers the gun owner a real performance advantage over the traditional products by combining long lasting lubrication, protection against moisture and an increase in the working life of mechanisms. Fastex Gun Oil has been specially developed using premium quality base oils and blended with a proprietary Fastex Surface Modifier which provides an ultra low friction boundary surface on the metal. Fastex Gun Oil when applied directly to the mechanisms and all moving parts of the weapon such as triggers, sears, bolts, springs etc will protect and improve the efficiency of the gun. How To apply Fastex Gun Oil: The metal components need to be above 50°C. These parts can be warmed with hot air (with a hair dryer or paint stripper gun). Once the metal is warm apply drops of Fastex Gun Oil directly to the parts and wipe off any surplus oil with a clean cloth and allow the gun to cool. 4 oz. spray bottle.

Fastex Bullet Coating

Reduces friction. Improves performance. Dry lubricant, will not affect tolerances or sizing. Presents no fouling problems. Contains no solids. Fastex Bullet Coating is a very efficient and superior alternative treatment to moly (molybdenum disulphide). As it contains the proprietary Fastex Surface Modifier technology and no solids, there is reduced build up in the barrel. This provides more consistency, accuracy and reduced copper fouling. Once coated and dry, no special handling is required. Here are two proven application procedures: Using Hot Air: Place Fastex Bullet Coating into a suitable metal container. Warm the bullet surface temperature, using hot air, to a minimum temperature of 140°F (60°C). Using a metal sieve, immerse the bullets into the Fastex Bullet Coating making sure they remain fully covered for 2 - 3 minutes. Ensure the entire surface is in contact with the liquid. Remove bullets and allow excess lube to drain off. Heat dry with hot air or leave to air dry completely before use. Using Hot Water: Run hot water from a regular tap. Water needs to be just hot enough to bond 140°F (60°C). Do not use boiling water. If the water is too hot it may cause bi-metal expansion of the bullet. Place the bullets in a metal sieve and run the hot water over them for about a minute. Dry them off with a cloth to remove surplus water. Place the warm bullets back into the sieve and pour the Fastex Bullet Coating over them, shaking slightly to ensure coverage. Leave them to air dry. Do not pack bullets in storage for at least 24 hours following coating. 8 oz bottle.

Fastex Moly Remover

Quick and easy to apply
Fast acting
Water soluble

Fastex Moly Remover is specially formulated for the removal of Molybdenum Disulfide (Moly) from firearms.  It is supplied in an undiluted form and requires mixing with clean water before use.
Do not use Fastex Moly Remover full strength

Fastex Moly Remover is designed to be diluted with clean water as follows:

MIXING:
Put 2 parts clean water (by volume) into a clean container. While stirring, pour 1 part Fastex Moly Remover (by volume) INTO the water and continue stirring the mixture for 1 minute (proper mixing requires the 1 minute stir). This mixture will turn white as it mixes.
** Suggest two fluid ounces of water to one fluid ounce of Fastex Moly Remover **

APPLICATION:
Take the mixed Fastex Moly Remover and using a wet patch, apply it to your rifle barrel.  After thoroughly wetting the rifle bore, allow it to sit for 2 to 3 minutes.

Using a bronze bore brush, scrub out the bore while applying additional amounts of Fastex Moly Remover to the bronze bore brush.  After a good brushing, patch out debris and residue as it loosens, repeating the cleaning process as the layers of Moly and other deposits start to loosen.  Always patch out any residue before continuing further applications of Fastex Moly Remover.

Wipe off any surplus Fastex Moly Remover from any wood or composite components of the firearm at the end of the cleaning process.

During this cleaning process Fastex Moly Remover will also remove any chemical or oil coatings that may have been previously used to treat the firearm. After using Fastex Moly Remover it is essential that all metal surfaces be lubricated before storing or reuse.

Fastex Moly Remover should always be used as a mixture and never at full strength.
